Self Help Africa (SHA) is an International non-profit organization implementing food security and livelihood programs in rural Zambia. SHA’s mission is to develop enterprising solutions that enable small holder farmers to achieve a better quality of life.
SHA implements its programmes through local partners. In order to enhance its partnerships and collaborations SHA is seeking to recruit a Partnership Development Coordinator.
Partnership Development Coordinator (PDC) will be responsible for capacity development of partner organisations and ensuring effective interface and co-ordination between partner organisations and the overall Self Help Africa programme in Zambia.
Duties & Responsibilities The PDC will be required to: 1. Ensure that partnerships with other organisations and institutions are managed effectively and are well aligned to the Country and global SHA strategy. 2. Ensure compliance on reporting and general project and contract requirements and management. 3. Assess the partners for training and capacity building needs and carry out in-house training or arrange external training where required. 4. Ensure that all contracts and MOUs signed between Self Help Africa and partner organisations and institutions are current, relevant and are being adhered to by all parties involved 5. Maintain effective communication with all implementing partners and key stakeholders and coordinate program activities with relevant institutions and similar programs/ projects in the target area. 6. Ensure coordination of the program to overall SHA program
Required Relevant Experience: . A strong commitment to the aims, objectives and values of the SHA programme in Zambia • Master’s degree in development management, non-profit management, SME development or development communication. • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior level in a similar position/ environment with excellent people management skills preferably. Past NGO not a must but will be added advantage. • High level skills and experience in facilitation and report writing. • Experience of managing, training and supporting staff
